FRANKLIN
On Wednesday early afternoon, an anonymous caller alerted Franklin police to a burglary in progress at a residence in the 200 block of Washington Street. This information comes from Capt. Tim Whitt, spokesman for the city police department. He added that the caller stated seeing a black male enter the residence through a back door.

When officers arrived they caught Denard Ray’mon William, 19, coming out of the front door and took him in to custody.

A search of the house revealed forced entry and evidence of the burglary was recovered. Williams, who lives at 311 Washington St., was charged with burglary and given a $1,000 secured bond.
