Isle of Wight Public Hearing April 20th

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
On Thursday, the 20th day of April, 2017, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Isle of Wight, Virginia (the “County”), will hold a public hearing on the proposed issuance of general obligation bonds of the County (the “School Bonds”). The School Bonds are to be issued in the estimated maximum principal amount of $7,900,000 to finance the acquisition, construction and equipping of facilities and equipment for public school purposes and uses.
At the same meeting, the Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on redirecting the purposes of certain previously authorized general obligation bonds of the County. The County intends to amend the related authorizing resolutions to provide that the authorized but unissued principal amounts of such bonds (approximately $1,675,582 in the aggregate) may be used to finance the acquisition, construction and equipping of facilities and equipment for transportation purposes and uses.
The public hearings will be conducted in the Robert C. Claud, Sr. Board Room at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse Complex on Route 258, 17130 Monument Circle, Isle of Wight, Virginia during the Public Hearing section of the meeting which will begin at 6:00 p.m. Interested persons may appear at such time and place and present their views.
