Narcotics investigation nets arrest

A Franklin man is in custody following a month-long investigation into narcotics sales.

White

The city police worked with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security. Investigations concluded with the arrest of Jamir Da’Qwon White of 1698 Dorchester Square Apartments E-1.

White was arrested on April 5, and charged with four counts of distribution of cocaine, one count distribution of marijuana and use of a firearm while distributing narcotics. Law enforcement officers working in an undercover capacity made purchases of narcotics and a .22 caliber pistol from White.

While executing a search warrant at White’s residence, law enforcement officer’s recovered additional narcotics, as well as paraphernalia associated with the distribution of drugs. Additional charges are pending.

White, 25, was remanded to Western Tidewater Regional Jail without bond.
