FRANKLIN — Dorothy Bailey “Dot” Gelhaus, 88, died on April 3, 2017, at her home in The Village at Woods Edge.

Dot was born on the family farm in Handsom, Virginia, and was a daughter of the late Tilman Vann Bailey and Rosa Francis Bailey. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Alese B. Tucker and Vivian B. Kaikas; three brothers, Aubrey, Kenneth and T.V. Bailey; and her husband of 56 years who passed away on Sept. 1, 2005, Kenneth John Gelhaus.

Dot was a retired dental assistant, and a member of Hunterdale Christian Church.

Survivors include one sister, Bessie B. Johnson; one brother, William C. Bailey (Virginia Ann); and a large extended family.

The private family service will be on Friday, April 7, in Southampton Memorial Park with the Rev. Don Rosie officiating.
