DISPUTANTA — Otis Carson Vick, 62, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 11, 2017.
Otis Carson was born on July 14, 1954, in Franklin, Virginia.
He graduated from Hopewell High School in 1975.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved gardening and UVA football. His contagious smile and warm hugs brought much joy and light to those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Otis Carson was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all.
Otis Carson is survived by his wife of 29 years, Catherine Eure Vick, of Hopewell, Virginia; his three children, Jackson, Marjorie and Haley, all of Prince George, Virginia; his mother, Sarah Crowell of Hopewell, Virginia; his five siblings, Harvey Fenton Vick Jr., James Vick, Juanita Harper, Rita Rice, Larry Vick and families and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harvey Fenton Vick, of Newsoms, Virginia.
The memorial service is scheduled for Friday, March 17, at 7 p.m., in Christian Life Church, 12501 Life Trail, Chester, Virginia, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Otis Carson’s life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Otis Carson Vick Memorial Fund, managed by Vantage Point Federal Credit Union in Hopewell, Virginia.
