Willis J. Blow

FRANKLIN — Mr. Willis J. Blow of Taft Avenue suddenly departed this life to claim his eternal rest and peace on March 12, 2017.
He was born in Isle of Wight County to the late Lucille Blow and Claud Bradshaw on Nov. 13, 1958. He attended the public schools of Isle of Wight County.
For 37 ½ years, he worked as a welder at Huntington-Ingalls Industries in Newport News.
Willis is survived by his wife, Mary D. Blow; two daughters, Shadé Blow AND Latifah “Lil Bit” Blow; one son, Willis D. Blow; two sisters, Cynthia E. Spain (Michael) and Sheila Bradshaw; six grandchildren; one uncle, Sidney Blow; and brother-in-law, John Dawson Jr. (Malinda).
His life will be celebrated on Thursday, March 16, at 2 p.m., in Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Alvin Rawlings delivering the message of comfort; the Rev. Alfred D. Brown Sr. is the host pastor. The committal and benediction will be held in First Baptist Church cemetery, Severn, North Carolina.
A traditional service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., 224 S. Main St.
