FRANKLIN
A Newport News man has been arrested on a charge of sodomy against a juvenile male this past early Saturday, according to Capt. Tim Whitt, spokesman for the Franklin Police Department.

He stated that officers were called to a residence on Cameron Street at 1:45 a.m. in reference to a sexual assault. It was learned that a juvenile male had accompanied an adult male in a vehicle.

The suspect reportedly stopped in the area of Norfleet Street and Gardner Street where the adult allegedly sexually assaulted the juvenile.

The investigation led officers to arrest Victor Lamont Scott, 46, of Newport News. He was remanded to Western Tidewater Regional Jail with no bond.
