Mallory Taylor, Matthew Tuttle exchange vows

Mallory Blythe Taylor and William Matthew Tuttle were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at four o’clock in the afternoon at the sound front of Roanoke Island Festival Park in Manteo, North Carolina. The Rev. Abby Hailey, cousin of the bride, officiated the ceremony. Cocktails, dinner and dancing followed on the grounds.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd David Taylor Jr. of Newsoms.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Waverly Coggsdale of Courtland, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd David Taylor Sr. of Newsoms.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Cooper Tuttle Sr. of Chesapeake.

He is the grandson of Mrs. Barbara Bosler and the late Mr. Linwood Washington Bosler of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Talmadge Tuttle of Portsmouth, Virginia.

The bride was escorted by her father. 

Megan Vann Holland of Courtland served as the matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Molly Katelyn Mann of Chesapeake; Nichole George Cox of Stafford; Sarah Waller Jones of Charles City; Carly Williams Shanahan of Richmond; Margaret Shelton Phillips of Roanoke; and Ashley Jean Cotton of Drewryville.

Flower girls were Elizabeth Grace Beaman and Katie Lee Beaman of Chesapeake.

The groom’s father, John Cooper Tuttle Sr., served as best man.

Groomsmen were John Cooper Tuttle Jr., Andrew Shepard Rivenbark and Todd Anthony Harrell, all of Portsmouth; Joseph Miles Taylor of Aptos, California; Cameron Sutton Agricola of Chesapeake; Joseph Thomas Vidarte of Saratoga Springs, New York; Willis Perkins Taylor IV, Christopher Thomas Buttery and Robert Wygal Flintoff, all of Suffolk; Drew Thomas Stephenson and Nicholas Michael Pheil, both of Richmond; and Andrew Joseph Rediger of Fairfax.

Ringbearer was Levi Donald Cox of Stafford.

Wedding assistants were Mrs. Ercelle Vann and Mrs. Kathy Rivenbark.

Mrs. Heather Coggsdale attended the guestbook.

Club Violin of Nags Head provided cello and violin music for the ceremony and cocktail hour. The 10 Spot band of Virginia Beach provided music entertainment for the evening. Photography was provided by Matt Lusk Photography. Ocean Boulevard of Kitty Hawk provided catering for the event. The Proper Setting served as event coordinator.

Mallory is a graduate of Southampton High School. She received a Bachelors of Science from Ferrum College in 2012, and received a Masters of Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Hospitality and Tourism Management in 2014.

She is employed by Franklin Southampton Economic Development Inc. as the Business Development Manager.

Matt is a graduate of Nansemond Suffolk Academy, and attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where he received a Bachelors of Science in Marketing in 2008.

He is employed by Total Business Solutions of Portsmouth as the Sales Manager.

Since returning from their honeymoon in St. Kitts, the couple resides in Portsmouth.

• On June 11, 2016, Ms. Lori Cogsdale, Mrs. Heather Coggsdale, Mrs. Betty Mann, Mrs. Denise Riddick, Ms. Ercelle Vann, Mrs. Sherry Vann and Mrs. Vanessa Vick hosted a bridal shower and brunch at the Village at Woods Edge Back Porch & Grille.

• Mr. and Mrs. John Cooper Tuttle Sr. hosted the rehearsal dinner at Avenue Waterfront Grille, Manteo, North Carolina.
