Southampton Academy Headmaster Scott Wasdin confirmed on Thursday morning that the boys and girls varsity basketball teams will be playing in the conference semi-finals today.

“The girls won over Tidewater Academy on Monday and play Richmond Christian at 4:45 p.m. in Richard Bland College, Petersburg,” he said.

“The boys won against Kenston Forest School on Tuesday and play against Richmond Christian at 8:15 p.m.”

Wasdin, who is serving as coach for the girls, said their record is 9-7 for the year, adding they’re 12th in the state.
