John Harlan Henry

WINDSOR — John Harlan Henry, 80, went to be with his Lord on Jan. 27, 2017.
He was born in Sinking Springs, Pennsylvania, to the late Ferne Bard and Clarence A. Henry. He is also predeceased by his sister, Anne Andrews.

John worked as a self-employed contractor that could fix anything and do it right the first time. He also enjoyed woodworking.
John is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Katherine “Kitty” Henry; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Phillips (Billy) of Tarboro, North Carolina; and Kay Phillips (Stephen) of Cookeville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Esther, Sarah, John and Jack Phillips; sisters, Joan Plumb and Sara Cranston; brother, Thomas Henry; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
John’s service was on Monday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m., in Colosse Baptist Church with the Revs. Tim Webb and Wayne Blythe officiating. Burial followed in the church’s cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donate to the American Heart Association or American Lung Association.
The family received guests at the residence for fellowship.
The family would like to thank the special doctors, who have cared for John over the years: Dr. Michael Ponder, Dr. John Parker and Dr. Jeffery Forman.
