FRANKLIN — John Leroy Bradshaw, 87, passed away on Jan. 7, 2017, at Riverside Doctors Hospital in Williamsburg.
He was a native of Isle of Wight County and was one of 11 children of the late Ernest and Annie Bland Bradshaw.
He was an Army veteran, retired from Union Camp Corp. and, during his retirement worked, in the golf pro shop at Beechwood Country Club in Ahoskie for many years.
Left to cherish his memory are a daughter, Sharon Anita Bradshaw (Roxie Stephan) of Suffolk; a son, Kenneth Lee Bradshaw (Jackie) of Franklin; two brothers, Russell Bradshaw and Alfred Bradshaw, both of Suffolk; his only granddaughter, Taylor Bradshaw; and many nieces and nephews.
The private memorial service with military honors will be at the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
