No weather-related accidents have been reported in Southampton County as of 10 a.m.

Maj. Gene Drewery, spokesman for the Southampton County Sheriff’s, encourages residents to stay home at this time.

Isle of Wight and Windsor law enforcement also have had no reports.

Franklin Police Department’s Lt. Tim Whitt reported at approximately 10:39 a.m. that one car was reported to have slid into a ditch with only minor damage; there were no injuries to the driver or any passengers.
