CARRSVILLE — Lawrence Earl “Larry” Gardner III, 65, passed away on Dec. 19, 2016, at the Rich Square Health Care Center.

He was born in Franklin, and was a son of the late Lawrence Earl Gardner Jr. and Grace Leigh Bradshaw Gardner.

Mr. Gardner was retired from Tidewater Construction Company, and was a member of Fred’s Shag Club.

Survivors include his brother, Robert Melville “Bob” Gardner; his aunt, Shelby Jean Gardner and his uncle, Randy Gardner; cousins, Dr. F. Alexander Bruce, Carol Bruce Bachmann, Tanner Bruce Cox, Elizabeth B. Padgett, Robert Courter Bradshaw, Gail G. Allen and Moody H. “Rex” Gardner Jr.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. James H. Hyatt Jr officiating. The burial will follow at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery.

A reception and visitation will follow the service in the Franklin Congregational Christian Church Fellowship Hall.
