COURTLAND — Betty Jean “Nana” Revels Lambdin, 76, passed away on Dec. 20, 2016, peacefully at home with her daughter by her side. Her children and their families lovingly cared for her during her short journey with cancer.

She was married to the late James W. “Bill” Lambdin, M.D., in October 1987.

She was a daughter of the late John Alfred and Mary Bell Lilley Revels of Williamston, North Carolina, and was also predeceased by an infant sister, Lydia Sue Revels, another sister, Della Taylor, and two brothers, John “Russell” and Willie Revels, all of Williamston; a stepson, James “BB” Lambdin Jr.; and her best friend, Christine Evans.

She enjoyed spending time on the Outer Banks searching for beach glass.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her son, Stanley Harrell and his wife, Linda, and her children, Matthew, Christian and Lauren; her daughter, Kimberly Williams and her husband, Danny, and their daughter, Leslie, who was loved dearly by her Nana; her sisters, Marie Robinson and Mary Dare Bowen; a brother, Archie Revels; Bill’s children, Carol Lynn, Dale Brett (William), Margaret Palau and Rebecca Lambdin.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 23, in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Robert Carpenter officiating. The burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home, and suggests that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the church of your choice.

The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, love, cards, visits, texts and phone calls during this sad time in their lives. A special thanks to Brandy, Barbara, Jocelyn, Valerie and Lisa for keeping her comfortable and peaceful these last few weeks.
