FRANKLIN — James Edward Taylor Jr., 64, formerly of Branchville, peacefully departed this life on Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin, Virginia.

Survivors include two children, Justina Holloman and Timothy Person; seven grandchildren; four sisters; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

Chappell (Harvey), Ella Mae Gatling, Virginia Louise Stephenson (Hubert) and Annie Johnson (William); three sisters-in-law, Essie Mae Taylor of Richmond, Virginia; Rosa Taylor of Murfreesboro, North Carolina; and Carol Taylor of Drewryville, Virginia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Faison’s Funeral Service Inc., 301 Park St., Seaboard, North Carolina, has been entrusted with the arrangements, where Mr. Taylor, will lie in repose from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18.

Homegoing services honoring his life, love and spirit will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 19, in Mars Hill Baptist Church, Emporia.

He will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
