CAPRON — Donald Albert Decker, 68, passed away on Friday, Dec. 16, 2016.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Inge Decker; daughter, Courtney Decker Hornback and husband, Hunter; two sons, Christopher Donald Decker and wife, Wendy; and Michael Robert Decker and wife, Melissa; five grandchildren, Jackson, Caroline, Sloan, Sadie and Stella; sister, Elaine Decker Kaiser and husband, Chuck; brother, Robert Decker and wife, Margie; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A longtime resident of Capron, Virginia, Don recently relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina, to be closer to his grandchildren.
A Navy veteran and retired farmer, Don was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He enjoyed cooking for his friends and family.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 19 at Thomas Memorial Baptist Church in Drewryville, Virginia. Interment will follow in Drewryville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall.
