Just a friendly reminder here that your children’s letters to Santa Claus are due in our office by Friday, Dec. 2, close of business day.

You can drop off the requests at our place on 1000 Armory Drive, mail them at P.O. Box 497, Franklin, VA 23851, or email at santa@tidewaternews.com.

No matter which format you use, be sure to include the full name, complete address including your hometown, a phone number and age. You are welcome to include a photograph of yourself, and be sure to write the name on the back of the picture.

If you email the photo, a high-resolution image will be very helpful in printing.

We will publish the letters on Sunday, Dec. 18.

While you’re thinking about it, we hope you’ll also consider making a contribution to our annual holiday food and toy drive. Through Tuesday, Dec. 13, non-perishable food and new, unopened toys will be accepted at the office on Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Gently used/clean clothes will be accepted, and all proceed will be donated to Community Harvest Outreach, which is located in Windsor.
