As we suspect many of our readers are, the staff of The Tidewater News is happy to be leaving a contentious political season behind and move into the much more festive holiday season.

And as the holidays approach, we are pleased to announce that we will once again be sponsoring a community Christmas concert that is free and open to the public.

On Sunday, Dec. 11, at 3 p.m., the United States Fleet Forces Band will be performing in Franklin High School. Previous concerts have been well-attended and terrific fun, and we expect this year’s concert will be no different.
