NEWSOMS — Keith Donovan “K.D.” Walton, 89, passed away on Nov. 10, 2016, in Lake Prince Woods in Suffolk.
A native of Southampton County, he was a son of the late Lewis Ezra and Elma Bryant Walton. He was predeceased by his wife, Reva Vann Walton and a sister, Ruby Mack and two brothers, Linwood and Lloyd Walton.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
K.D. was a member of Newsoms Baptist Church.
He was the former sales manager of Doughty Buick and a former part owner of Ward-Woodard Auto Sales.
He was an Army veteran of WWII, and saw action in the European Theatre.
The graveside service was conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13, in Hollywood Cemetery with the Rev. Armand Jalbert officiating.
The family received friends at the Newsoms Baptist Church Fellowship Hall following the service, and suggests that memorial donations be made to Newsoms Baptist Church or the Newsoms Volunteer Fire Dept.
