COURTLAND
Cecilia Deville (usually better known as Cecil Edwards) was crowned Mr. Franklin Southampton County Fair last weekend during the second annual Womanless Pageant. The event occurred at the Fairgrounds.

Tied for first runner-up were Daisy Duke (T.J. Babb) and Iona Trailer (Kevin Lackey).

Patty O’Furniture (Glenn Joyner) was the audience favorite.

Among all her attributes, Bodacious Brenda (Brandon Ivey) had the best smile.

Willow Kardashian (William “Slim” Harrison) was voted for having the best hair.

Daisy Duke was also voted for having the prettiest eyes.

In all, the contestants were: T.J. Babb, Cecil Edwards, Matt Sickleton, Will Melbye, William “Slim” Harrison, James Busch, Sweet Pope, Brandon Ivey, Kevin Lackey, Jason McHenry and Glenn Joyner.

As previously reported, organizer Janet Joyner said the idea for the show seemed a natural progression from the pageants for the little girls and young ladies.

The profits will be used by the board for future county fairs. She did not yet have a total, but did figure that about 200 people attended the pageant.
