EMPORIA — Edward Payne Harrup, 77, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016.
Born on Oct. 3, 1939, he was the son of the late Surry and Anna Harrup, and was also preceded in death by four siblings, Helen Kuhlman, Ida Mae Barnes and Johnny and Crawford Harrup.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Molly; two sons, Payne Jr. (Lisa) and Dennis (Amy); adopted daughter, Brenda Romines (Olin); four grandsons, Brian, Eddie, Jacob and Elijah; granddaughter, Tina Cranmore (Ron); great-grandson, Chayton; and great-granddaughter, Kele.
Mr. Harrup was retired from American Bakeries (Merita), and was a man who loved his family.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, in Word of Life Assembly of God Church, where the family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30.
Interment will follow at Emporia Cemetery.
