SUFFOLK — Lucille Kathleen Farrell, 86, passed away on Oct. 14, 2016.

She was born in Nansemond County, Virginia, to the late Laura Green and William Farrell.
She is also predeceased by her husband Marvin Gussie Cowing; son, Marvin Gilbert “Gil” Cowing; grandson, Christopher Cowing; sisters, Ruth Bradley, Edna Carriveau, and Marie Acey; and brother, Buddy Farrell.
Lucille retired after many years as a nurse at Obici Hospital in Suffolk.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she was a member of the Relief Society.
Lucille is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa Cowing Williams, Lynne Cowing Jakobowski and husband, Mark; and Dawn E. Crocker and husband, Lloyd Crocker Jr.; grandchildren, Michael Trent Savage, Allen Kenley Savage, Alexandra K. Jakobowski and Hannah Nicole Crocker; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret Crawford and husband, Dave, of Roy, Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews, that she loved and adored.
The funeral will be on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. in Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, with Bennett’s Creek Bishopric Second Counselor Mike Christensen officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
