PORTSMOUTH — Audrey Lee Corbitt Smart, 78, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016.
A native of Franklin, Virginia, she was a retired Portsmouth Public School teacher.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles H. and Sadie Barnes Corbitt.
She is survived by her husband, Gary B. Smart; two sons, Charles Jeffrey Smart (Kathy) of the U.S. Virgin Islands; and Andrew B. Smart of Rodanthe, North Carolina; a brother, Charles H. Corbitt Jr. (Connie) of Franklin; and grand-puppy, Babyboy Bryce.
The memorial service was at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, in Centenary United Methodist Church, 3312 Cedar Lane, Portsmouth, VA 23703.
