Nunnally takes first in final bass tournament

David Nunnally of Emporia took first place in the 14th and final tournament of the Three Rivers Bass Tournament Series, with five bass weighing a total of 11.77 pounds. The tournament was held Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Peahill Creek Boat Landing on Lake Gaston in Gasburg.

2nd place winners: Billy Daniels & Brent Boney with 5 bass at 11.30 pounds. Boney was also the Big Bass winners with a 4.33 pound bass.

Billy Daniels and Brent Boney’s team took second place with five bass weighing 11.3 pounds. Doug Williams and David Council’s team took third place with five bass weighing 10.34 pounds.

Fourth place went to Kevin Gunn and Lee Johnson’s team with five bass weighing 9.47 pounds and fifth place went to Erik Neave and Scott Hewett’s team with four bass weighing 7.91 pounds.

The heaviest bass of the day, caught by Brent Boney, weighed in at 4.33 pounds.

With the conclusion of the regular bass tournaments, 37 members have qualified to participate in a two-day Classic Tournament in October.
