FRANKLIN — William Edward Hare, 59, passed away on Sept. 27, 2016, at his home surrounded by family.
A native of Giles County, Virginia, he was predeceased by his father, Wesley Hare and his stepfather, Bill Gross.
He was retired from the Virginia Department of Corrections.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 37 years, Sylvia Williamson Hare; his daughter, Jessica Hare Cline and her husband, Austin, of Norfolk; a son, Kevin Harrison of Franklin; his mother, Toby Ann Gross of Franklin; his grandson, Reid Oliver Cline; two sisters, Debbie Parker and her husband, Kenny, of Chesapeake; Katrina Carr and her husband, Mark, of Franklin; three brothers, Randy Hare and his wife, Janice, of Bealeton; David Hare and his wife, Dee, of Dublin; and John Hare and his wife, Carrie, of Front Royal; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin.
