Bass tournament series continues with wins for the fishermen

The team of Jared Bass and Adam Derby took first place in round 10 of the Three Rivers Bass Tournament Series with five bass weighing 11.38 pounds. Jared Bass also had the big bass of the day at 4.73 pounds.

The tournament launched from Highway 258 boat landing on the Nottoway River.

In second place was the team of Kevin Gunn and Lee Johnson with five bass weighing 11.08 pounds. The team of Billy Daniels and Brent Boney took third place with five bass weighing 8.69 pounds followed in fourth place by Keith Vick and K.J. Vick with five bass at 8.51 pounds then in fifth place was Larry Phelps and Bennie Plessinger with five bass at 8.49 pounds.

The bass club will have an Open Bass Tournament on Sunday, Sept. 11, at the same boat landing. This tournament will be open to all boating anglers. Registration will be from 6 to 6:30 a.m. with boats launching by 6:45 a.m. The tournament will last until 3 p.m.
