FRANKLIN — Bernice Darden Worrell, 87, widow of Grover Morris Worrell, passed away on Aug. 26, 2016.

Bernice was a native of Nansemond County, and was a daughter of the late George Thomas and Eulice Williford Darden. She was also predeceased by a sister, Ella Mae Woolard, and a brother, Willie Lee Darden.

Bernice was retired from Contel Telephone Company.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Mike Worrell and his wife, Gloria, and one sister, Barbara “Bobbie” Lowe, all of Franklin; and two grand cats, Allie and Poof.

The family will receive friends at Wright Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 29. Burial will be private.
