FRANKLIN
And they’re off! On Aug. 8, Franklin High School summer school graduates celebrated the completion of their high school careers. Upon departure, they look forward to accomplishing their post-secondary goals.

Most high school seniors have been enjoying summer vacation. These three motivated, determined students — Quadre’ Woodson, Connor Shanks and Anthony Banks — spent the summer taking classes to earn credits they needed to graduate. After completing the last of their high school credits in summer school, they received graduation diplomas at Franklin High School’s annual summer commencement ceremony.

Summer school enables students to finish with their class, so these students are still considered part of the class of 2016.

Classes held during the summer provide a fast-paced setting, which focuses on achievement.
