This award is given to agents with 10 years or less of service in Cooperative Extension and have exhibited excellence in the field of Extension Education. This award is only presented to two percent of the County Extension Educators in Virginia each year.

Neil’s involvement with the “SHARP” Logger program has made major impacts.

Pertinent information about best management practices shared with over 440 loggers has helped them maintain compliance in the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

Loggers indicated that initiating these improved techniques for stream crossings will keep tons of silt out of the streams on over 215,000 acres.
