James Ray Yarbrough

WAVERLY — James Ray Yarbrough, 44, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016.

Born on Oct. 17, 1971, in Oregon, he was the son of Cora Lorraine Howe Field and the late Dennis Duane Yarbrough. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ray and Elva Yarbrough, and his maternal grandparents, James and Thelma Howe.

Along with his mother, left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rena Morgan Yarbrough; his son, Curtis Doolittle; his sister, Tessa Cool; his cousin who was like a sister, Meshel Windley; grandchildren, Emma Lee Doolittle and Brooke Lynn Doolittle; aunts, Marinda Windley and her husband, Jeff; and Jessie Anderson; uncles, Eldon Yarbrough and his wife, Reva; Darrell Yarbrough, and Richard Howe Sr. and his wife, Sheila; nephew, Trenton Cool; cousins, Mandi, Jennifer, Jason, Regina, Donnie, Richard Jr., Howard and Robert; second cousins, Jozlin, Helin, RiLee, Kyra, Anthony, Logan and Isabella; his extended family, Trey Perkins, Bobby Pope, David Starke and Lonnie Nofsinger; his boy dog, Penny; his prissy dog, Zoe; as well as many, many friends.

The family received friends on Friday, July 22, in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The celebration of James’ life was held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, in the Wakefield Sportsman’s Club, 12205 Brittles Mill Road, Wakefield.

Rena and the family would like to extend a special thank you to their devoted friend, Laurie Stalnaker, who has been by their side supporting them from the very beginning.
