According to Capt. Tim Whitt with the Franklin Police Department, an officer on patrol noticed the vehicle with a broken window, and the hood ajar.

Employees at Blake Ford also found the damage on Tuesday morning and reported it to the Franklin City Police Department.

Vandals broke in the driver’s side window and shredded the seats. No other vehicles on the lot were harmed.

“It just goes to show you how much hatred there is for the police out there,” said Blake Blythe, owner of the dealership.

There were several other police cars vandalized in Franklin last night, Whitt said. The cars were egged and there is a possible suspect.

“We do not know if the incidents are related,” said Whitt.
