FRANKLIN — Doris Harrell Turner, 97, widow of F. Peyton Turner, passed away peacefully at her home on July 8, 2016.
Doris “MeMa” was born in Holland, Virginia, to the late Lonnie W. and Annie Darden Harrell. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sisters, Ethel Harrell and Glynn Dansey; her brothers, Whidbee Harrell and Lewis Harrell; a son-in-law, Ronald B. Edwards; and a daughter-in-law, Hannelore Turner.
She was a member of Hunterdale Christian Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Rebecca T. Edwards; sons, Thomas P. Turner (Donna), C. Harrell Turner (Cynthia), C. Kea Turner (Susan) and Murray H. Turner (Marianne); 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
The service to celebrate her life will be at 3 p.m. on Monday July, 11, in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Blythe officiating. The burial will follow at Poplar Spring Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m., and at other times in Mrs. Turner’s home at 139 Dale Circle.
