To the Editor:

I have lived in Isle of Wight County for 24 years. I am a home owner and land owner. I have seen Isle of Wight County grow and prosper by way of smart planning and development.

The current Isle of Wight County Board of Supervisors now has the opportunity to continue down the road of smart planning and development.

I encourage the IOW County Board of Supervisors to oppose the proposed public shooting range in the Walters Community. We live in a community of peace and quiet. The noise will be unbearable. Property values will plummet. A public shooting range is not a good fit into the long-term growth of Isle of Wight County. The Isle of Wight County motto is “a Community of CHOICE committed to excellence.”

Let’s keep it that way.
