FRANKLIN
The City of Franklin was given a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association.

This award is given to localities that have excellent comprehensive financial reporting at the end of each fiscal year, as well as the reporting that is done throughout the entire year.

“I’m really proud of all of our departments and all the hard work they put into this,” City Manager Randy Martin said.

Former-Mayor Raystine Johnson-Ashburn added, “On behalf of city council, we are proud of all our staff, especially Melissa Rollins (Director of Finance), for all of their hard work in making this happen.”

Rollins give in-depth financial reports each council meeting and has worked extremely hard to balance all funds for the end of the fiscal year.

This is the fourth consecutive year that Franklin has received this award and its hope the city will earn it once again next year.
