Truman Bryant

COURTLAND — Felix Truman Bryant, 85, passed away on June 23, 2016.

Mr. Bryant was born in North Carolina, and was a son of the late Marvin Roy Bryant and Ruth Huffton Bryant.

He was a 1948 graduate of Franklin High School and an Army Veteran. He was a retired digester room operator in the Pulp Mill for Union Camp after 43 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Virginia Green Bryant; one daughter, Shirley H.B. Cutchins (Wayne); four grandchildren, Virginia Annette Davies (George), Margaret Liles (David), Susan Bowen (Troy) and Wayne Cutchins Jr. (Jill); six great-grandchildren, Caitlin Liles, Bryant Liles, Kelli Bowen, Noah Bowen, Christian Cutchins and Cameron Davies.

The private graveside service will be at Poplar Spring Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Southeast Virginia Chapter, 6350 Center Drive, Suite 102, Norfolk, VA 23502.
