Providence Agriculture, a Pinnacle Company, had its groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday at the new location in Pretlow Industrial Park. Officials from the City of Franklin, Southampton County, Franklin Southampton Economic Development Inc. and Providence Agriculture all spoke about the excitement they have for the new site.

“We welcome you [Providence Agriculture] to the City of Franklin,” FSEDI Chairman Warren Beale said in his opening remarks. “It is a privilege to celebrate additional investment and job opportunity in the area. We look forward to a long-term relationship with Providence Agriculture.”

Mayor of the City of Franklin Raystine Johnson-Ashburn echoed Beale’s remarks and added that she hopes the groundbreaking of this business will serve as a catalyst for future companies to locate in the park.
