Notice is hereby given in accordance with Virginia Code Section 15.2-2204 that the Franklin City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. at the City Council meeting being held in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 207 W. Second Avenue, Franklin, Virginia to consider amendments to the City of Franklin Zoning Map as follows:

The application of Fuller Properties, LLC (owner) to rezone approximately 10,500 sq. ft. or 0.241 acres of property located at 500,502,504, & 506 West 2nd Avenue known as a Tax Map Parcel 122-(63)-BLK. A-84B from R-2 General Residence District which permits a residential density of up to 5.8 units per acre to R-1A General Residence District which permits a density of up to14.52 units per acre for attached single family units. The purpose of this rezoning is to allow the existing non-conforming use to continue as a permitted use. The Comprehensive Plan currently designates this property as medium density residential.

Full text of the proposed Zoning Map amendments are available for inspection at the office of Community Development located at 207 West Second Avenue, Franklin, Virginia during regular business hours. Any person desiring to express his or her views with respect to the proposed amendment should appear at the aforesaid time and place.

The public hearing is to be held at a public facility designed to be accessible to persons with disabilities. Any persons with questions concerning the accessibility of the facility or those who have need for reasonable accommodations should contact Ms. Teresa L. Rose-McQuay, Secretary at (757) 562-8508. Persons needing interpreter services for the deaf must notify Ms. Rose-McQuay at least seven (7) days in advance of the hearing.
