Police arrest man for shooting into occupied home

On Monday morning, Franklin police sent out an alert that they were searching for a Suffolk man for shooting into an occupied home in Franklin. However on Tuesday, the man turned himself in to the police.
The Franklin Police Department was searching for James Darcell O’Neal aka Poo for several arrest warrants which include shooting into an occupied dwelling, use of a fire in the commission of a felony, destruction of property, reckless handling of a firearm and discharge a firearm within city limits.
At the time, the police believed O’Neal may have been armed with .40 caliber pistol. They described him as a black male, 5’11’ and 152 pounds, with a last known address in the 800 block of Nixon Drive, Suffolk.
On Tuesday, Capt. Tim Whitt of the Franklin Police Department announced that O’Neal had turned himself into the department’s headquarters.
O’Neal is currently being held at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail without bond.
