Meagan Barnes has joined The Tidewater News as an administrative assistant. She will assist office manager Michelle Gray in ensuring that The Tidewater News’ office runs smoothly.

“Megan’s enthusiasm and drive make her a great addition to The Tidewater News team,” Gray said.

A student at Nash Community College in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Barnes will graduate with her associate’s degree next spring.

“I’m looking at getting my mass communications degree, so I’m excited about having a job in this area that’s in the field I’m passionate about,” Barnes said.

Barnes is the daughter of Dwight and Tammy Davis. She is married to Zack Barnes, a local farmer.
