FRANKLIN
Bronco Federal Credit Union is pleased to award eight high school seniors from the community with scholarships to help them begin their continued education journey.

This year’s program awarded two $5,000 scholarships, one $2,500 scholarship, one $2,000 scholarship, three $1,500 scholarships and one $1,000 scholarship to the graduating seniors.

Ariel Salerno of Lakeland High School and Celia Jackson of Southampton High School are the recipients of the $5,000 John Alan Glasgow Memorial Scholarships. This scholarship is named in memory of John Alan Glasgow, Class of 1999, to recognize the scholastic and life achievements of a graduating student.

Mina Johnson of Southampton Academy was awarded a $2,500 Bronco Scholarship. In addition, Peyton Bunn of Southampton High School received a $2,000 Bronco Scholarship. Three $1,500 Bronco Scholarships were awarded to Marissa Haydu of Southampton High School, Alexis Mason of Smithfield High School and Zie Medrano of Nansemond-Suffolk Academy. Ashton Headrick of Lakeland High School was awarded a $1,000 Bronco Scholarship. The 2016 scholarship winners have demonstrated excellent community and extracurricular activity involvement as well as strong academics throughout their high school careers.

Bronco Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit cooperative that was founded in 1941 and is headquartered in Franklin.
