A woman whose last known address is near Ivor is being sought by the Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s Office.
Donna Cameron Smith is wanted for six counts of credit card fraud, plus charges of grand larceny, larceny with the intent to sell and a probation violation.
Lt. Tommy Potter, an investigator and public information officer, confirmed on Thursday that law enforcement is still looking for Smith. The investigation on the fraud charges dates back to the fall of last year, he said.
She is suspected of having stolen a debit card while staying at a home in Carrsville and used it for cash advances and merchandise.
“We obtained six felony warrants for her,” said Potter, who added that Smith is believed to have burgled a house outside of Windsor, stole several thousand dollars worth of power tools, and then pawned them in Suffolk. Two more warrants were secured on that matter.
If that weren’t enough, the suspect has a probation violation in Henrico County. According to the Virginia Courts Case Information website, she is a fugitive wanted on a capias and second count revocation of probation for grand larceny dating to April 7 this year. She has a record dating back to early February 2009 on check forgery and grand larceny charges, and had pleaded guilty to two.
Smith is believed to have ties to the city of Portsmouth and the town of Wakefield.
