Rose New Fowler

COMO, N.C. — Rose New Fowler, 59, a beloved wife, daughter, mother and grandmother, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on May 7, 2016.
She was born in Williamsburg and was a former Inspector for the USDA.
She was predeceased by her mother, Martha Dixon New; a daughter, Rose Ann; and a sister, Ann Lee New.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Tommy Lee Fowler of Como, North Carolina; her father, Calvin A. New of Como; two daughters, Spring Byrum (Rubin) and Tabatha Fowler, both of Como ; her son, Tommy Lee Fowler II (April) of Como; three sisters, Brenda Hedgepeth of Ahoskie, North Carolina, Janet Davis of Como and Carolyn Pierce of Ahoskie; a brother, John A. New of Lasker, North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and honorary children, Angela and Russell Putnam and David and Adam McMillion.
The graveside funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, in Williamsburg Memorial Park, 130 King William Drive, Williamsburg, with the Rev. Sandy Outlaw officiating.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, 206 W. 4th Ave., Franklin.
