Council meeting to have public hearing for school board nominations

FRANKLIN
At Franklin City Council’s meeting on Monday night, a public hearing will be conducted for the purpose of considering individuals for nominations to the Franklin City School Board.

Council will also consider the adoption of a revised resolution regarding the SPSA Use and Support Agreement.

The two seats on the school board that council will be hearing nominations for are Ward 2 and Ward 5.

No nominee or applicant who’s name has not been nominated will be considered for the positions. A resume for any nominee many be presented at this time.

Council will also consider adopting the revised resolution regarding the SPSA Post-2018 Use and Support Agreement.

At the last meeting, Franklin City Attorney Taylor Williams who also served on the SPSA Board, said that SPSA was considering four revisions to the agreement. Three of those four revisions were adopted by the SPSA Board.

The meeting will be at 7 p.m. and will take place at City Hall Council Chambers, 207 West Second Avenue.
