CARRSVILLE — Clara Boyette Butler, 103, widow of Herman Butler and Jack Butler, passed away on May 1, 2016.

Mrs. Butler was a lifelong resident of Isle of Wight County, and was a daughter of the late Charles and Estelle Boyette. She was also predeceased by a sister, Mattie Lee Boyette; two brothers, John and Albert Boyette; and three stepchildren, Dorothy Tyree and Carlton and Roger Butler.

Mrs. Butler was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Charles D. Butler Sr. of Carrsville; one stepdaughter, Louise Noles; four grandchildren, Charles “Hot Shot” Butler Jr., Linda Butler, Patricia Holland (W.H.) and Albert Butler; four great-grandchildren, Brandon Butler, Angel Anderson, Ricky Rautenkranz and Krstyal Holland; five great-great-grandchildren, Adam, Madison and Luke Butler, Brianna and Gracie Anderson; and a large extended family.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Hoyle Green officiating. Burial will follow at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
