At the last Franklin City Council meeting, Ward 3 representative Greg McLemore spoke during citizen’s time regarding the status of the park equipment on Maplewood Avenue and College Drive. At the meeting this Monday, City Manager Randy Martin gave an update on the equipment.

Martin said that most of the park equipment items had been addressed. Maintenance had been done on a lot of the equipment and one swing still needs to be repaired.

He also said that any safety concerns had been ruled out and it had been deemed safe for children to play on.
