FRANKLIN
The St. Baldrick’s event in Franklin will be at Fred’s restaurant on Saturday, March 26.

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research than any other organization except the U.S. Government.

Those who participate in the event get wages for shaving their head.

As of Friday afternoon, there are 10 participants signed up to get their heads shaved in Franklin.

Anyone wishing to get their head shaved or donate to the cause, should visit www.stbaldricks.org/events/Freds2016 ahead of the event.

Aside from head-shaving, there will be music and raffles that include prizes such as furniture from World Market, a Keurig and other items donated from local businesses and organizations.

The event is located at 107 South Main Street, Franklin, and will begin at 7 p.m.
