FRANKLIN
The 62nd Annual Franklin-Southampton Chamber of Commerce Meeting was held on Thursday night at the Paul D. Camp community College Regional Workforce Development Center. The meeting allowed time for business leaders and chamber members to socialize, and for the business of the year and 2016 president to be recognized and give speeches.

The 2016 Business of the Year is the Nottoway House. The business was established in 1955 by Graham and Clyde Pulley. Their son, Collin, general manager, accepted the award and told the chamber and the rest of the audience how appreciative he was for the award.

Jim Strozier gave his first speech as president of the chamber. He told everyone how he was honored to hold this position and he looked forward to continuing to grow the chamber this coming year, as well as working to strengthening the community.
