CARRSVILLE
Franklin Lloyd Britt, 89, passed away March 8, 2016 surrounded by his family. Lloyd was born in Hansom and was a son of the late Leo and Mary Anna Whitley Britt. He was also predeceased by two brothers and a sister, Herbert and Archie Britt and Josie Butler.

Lloyd was an Army veteran of WWII and retired machine tender at Union Camp Corporation after 46 years of service. He was a member of Walters Ruritan Club and Mt. Carmel Christian Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Taylor Britt, one daughter, Debra Britt Dubberly (David), one son, Franklin Lloyd Britt, Jr. (Jean), two sisters, Gracie Story and Alice Oates, one brother, James Britt, two grandchildren, Kelly Britt Ellis (Justin) and Nicole Carr (Matt), three great grandchildren, Eli, Hayes, and Huck Ellis, three step grandchildren, Dr. Jessica Dubberly Hoffman (Chris), Nick Dubberly (Jennifer), and Elle Dubberly (James), five step great grandchildren, Jack, Sam, Max, Mary Channing and Carson and many special nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 2PM Friday, March 11, 2016 at Mt. Carmel Christian Church with the Rev. Blake James and the Rev. Curtis Faison officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8PM Thursday at Wright Funeral Home and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Mt. Carmel Christian Church Cemetery Fund. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
