Home repair help available for tornado victims

United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development staff members will be in Waverly on Thursday, March 10, to meet with applicants interested in home repair/construction loans and grants.

The event will be held between 3 and 7 p.m. across from Fresh Pride Grocery Store at 233 South County Drive.

Loan and grant specialists from the USDA Rural Development Courtland Area Office will accept applications, meet with clients, gather information and provide advice. Income limits apply and the property must be owner occupied to receive assistance.

Examples of available loan and grant programs include Single Family Housing Repair Loans/Grants, the Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program and Single Family Housing Direct Home Loans.
