KiKi’s Grill, a new restaurant in Franklin, opened on Tuesday, March 1. The restaurant serves Turkish and Indian cuisine and is located at 172 Council Road, Franklin 23851.

“There is no other one [Turkish and Indian restaurant] around,” owner KiKi Chen said. “Everybody seems to like it so far.”

Chen and her husband Kevin Zheng have been in the area for several years. She used to own Golden China Buffet.

Chen said that her husband is from England and owns two similar restaurants there that are a hit.

“I hope we can be successful here too,” she added.

On the menu there are kebobs (Turkish) and Indian curry.

Chen said that the kebobs can be served with any kind of vegetables and sauce that the customer wants. She also noted that the Indian curry is extremely hot and spicy.

The menu also has other items such as garlic chicken, steak pie, crab cakes, egg rolls, BBQ beef on a stick, BBQ chicken on a stick and bacon wrapped shrimp with coconut.

Customers may do take-out or eat in the restaurant.

Kiki’s Grill is open Monday through Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. They can be reached at 304-5600.
